VDF AI Documentation

Slack

Connect Slack so your team can reach VDF AI from channels, direct messages, and fast collaboration workflows.

What Slack unlocks

Slack lets teams use VDF AI where conversations already happen.

Common uses include:

  • sending quick prompts from Slack
  • using mentions or slash commands where available
  • sharing AI-generated summaries back into collaboration threads

How to connect Slack

  1. Open Integrations in VDF AI.
  2. Choose Slack.
  3. Start the Slack connection flow.
  4. Sign in to the correct Slack workspace.
  5. Approve the requested access and return to VDF AI.

Typical tasks after connecting

  • ask VDF AI for a quick summary from a Slack workflow
  • share a generated checklist back to a channel
  • trigger a fast research or follow-up request without leaving Slack

Access you may approve

Slack access usually covers the workspace installation, interaction handling, and the limited permissions needed for the Slack workflows your team uses.

Reconnect or disconnect

Reconnect Slack if the workspace authorization expires or if the app was installed into the wrong Slack workspace.

Disconnect it if your team no longer wants VDF AI actions available in Slack.

Troubleshooting

Slack actions stopped working

Reconnect the Slack workspace and confirm the app is still installed in the same workspace you expect.

I cannot find VDF AI in the right channel

Make sure the Slack app was added to the correct workspace and that you are using the supported channel or DM flow for your team.
