VDF AI Documentation

Getting Started

Create your account, sign in, complete onboarding, and start using VDF AI confidently in your first session.

Before you begin

You only need a supported browser and an email address to start. If your team plans to use connected apps such as Jira, Google, or Slack, it helps to know which account you want to authorize during onboarding.

Create your account

  1. Open the registration page from your invite or the public sign-up page.
  2. Choose the sign-up method available to you.
  3. Confirm your email address if the workspace requires email verification.
  4. Return to the sign-in screen and enter the workspace.

Most workspaces support one or more of these sign-in options:

  • email and password
  • Google sign-in
  • a workspace-specific sign-in flow configured by your organization

If sign-in succeeds but you cannot access the product, your workspace may still need to finish account approval or plan activation.

Complete onboarding

Onboarding usually takes only a few minutes. The exact steps vary by workspace, but the most common flow is:

  1. Add your basic profile information.
  2. Confirm or create your company/workspace details.
  3. Connect key apps such as Jira or documentation sources if you want richer answers from day one.
  4. Launch the main workspace.

You can usually skip connected apps during onboarding and return to them later from the integrations area.

Your first session checklist

Use this checklist to get immediate value from the platform:

TaskWhy it matters
Confirm your profile detailsMakes collaboration, exports, and notifications easier to recognize
Set company detailsHelps VDF AI tailor context and analysis
Start one conversation in ChatGives you a baseline feel for the product
Connect one important appImproves context and reduces manual copy/paste
Try one focused workflowHelps you move from exploration to practical use

A strong first prompt

For your first session, start with a goal that has a clear outcome. Good examples:

  • “Summarize this document in five bullets and turn it into a checklist.”
  • “Draft a user story for Google sign-in with acceptance criteria.”
  • “Review this backlog and suggest the top priorities for next sprint.”
  • “Find the latest related notes in our connected docs and prepare a summary.”

Where to go next

  • Go to VDF AI Chat if you want to work through conversations, file uploads, or voice input.
  • Go to VDF AI Agents if you want specialized assistants for focused tasks.
  • Go to Connected Apps if you want better answers grounded in Jira, Google, GitHub, Slack, Zoom, or other tools.

Common sign-in and onboarding issues

I cannot sign in

  • Double-check that you are using the same sign-in method you used during registration.
  • If you signed up with Google, use Google sign-in again instead of creating a password-based session.
  • If your organization uses a restricted workspace, ask the workspace owner to confirm access.

My verification email did not arrive

  • Check spam or junk folders.
  • Wait a few minutes and request a new email.
  • If the workspace blocks personal email domains, use your approved work address.

I skipped an onboarding step and want to return

That is usually fine. Most onboarding settings can be revisited from profile, company settings, or integrations.

I do not know which connected app to start with

Choose the app that contains the context you need most often:

  • Jira for backlog, sprint, and issue workflows
  • Google or Microsoft for files and calendars
  • Confluence or GitBook for documentation search
  • Slack or Zoom for collaboration context
